Eseohe Arhebamen-Yamasaki is U.S. Head of Communications for Springer Nature Group and a member of the company’s Research DEI Steering Group, its United States and African Research Advisory Councils Taskforces, its Global Black Researcher Taskforce, and various Sustainable Development Goal working groups. She leads Springer Nature’s Early Career Researcher Program which coalesces the company’s efforts globally to support early career researchers’ success in the research and publishing ecosystem and to advance equity of access to scholarly materials and opportunities as part of Springer Nature’s vision of an open science and open access future. She has over 20 years of experience in strategic communications, branding, integrated marketing communications, digital and music publishing, and media relations. Eseohe additionally runs a consultancy at which clients have included the United Nations Global Compact – the world’s largest sustainability pact of over 7,000 businesses. Eseohe is considered a notable artist, has won several awards for her work, is noted in scholarly textbooks, compilations and archives; and, has presented, taught, or been featured for her creative work internationally including at Columbia University, Spelman College, The Living Theatre, the University of Michigan, New York University, and Wayne State University. Eseohe holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in creative writing and literature, a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College in studio art and English, a master’s degree in performance studies – an interdisciplinary study in critical theory, language theory, sociology, anthropology, economics and law; and, Eseohe additionally holds a master’s degree in business administration.
