Quetzalli holds a law degree with a specialization in Intellectual Property from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and has Master’s studies in Intellectual Property from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), Argentina. She is the first woman President of the Mexican Center for the Protection and Promotion of Copyrights (CeMPro S.G.C), where she currently serves as legal counsel and vice president. She is a member of the National Bar Association; from 2021 to 2023, she led as president of the Board of Directors of the Coalition for Legal Access to Culture (CALC). She is a member of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), where she currently chairs the committee on Copyright and Related Rights. She is also part of the “Online Against Piracy” group of lawyers, convened by the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), and has participated as part of the Drafting Committee for the reform of the Federal Copyright Law.
Quetzalli has published in specialized academic journals in Mexico and Latin America, and is a regular contributor to seminars on copyright and intellectual property at the FILMOTECA and the Institute of Legal Research of the UNAM. She is an invited lecturer at IPIDEC and IUS SEMPER University. She is responsible for the legal and Copyright department at Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial.
