Over 70% of its fruits are sourced within Malaysia, and 100% of its eggs come from LK Fresh, ensuring humane and sustainable production. The hotel’s Chef’s Garden grows herbs like Thai Basil and Lemongrass, reducing reliance on external suppliers. Since April 2022, the Lumitics Food Waste Prevention System has been implemented, tracking and reducing food waste, optimizing kitchen operations, and lowering costs and environmental impact.
Energy & Water
Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur holds Green Building Index (GBI) certification, renewed every three years since 2012. The hotel employs energy-efficient systems, including optimized HVAC systems and double-glazed windows with argon-filled gaps to reduce heat and electrical usage. Motion sensors in guestrooms adjust lighting and temperature for efficiency, while rainwater harvesting and condensate water recycling support water conservation efforts.

The building’s exterior features reflective bronze coating to minimize air-conditioning needs, and designated parking for carpooling and electric vehicles encourages greener transportation.
