Pustaka Raja Tun Uda, the Selangor State Public Library, is widely regarded as one of Southeast Asia’s most innovative public libraries. Situated in Shah Alam, it features modern reading spaces, maker facilities, creative studios, and community learning programmes designed to inspire readers, learners, and families of all ages.

Opened in December 2025, The Library by BookXcess is Southeast Asia’s largest 24-hour bookstore, occupying a striking 38,000-square-foot, two-storey space at Sunway Square Mall. Housing over a million books, reading nooks, study desks and community spaces, it has rapidly become a favourite gathering place for students, night owls, creatives and book lovers seeking inspiration at any hour.

One other highlight of the trip is the Pinocchio Illustration Exhibition, brought to you especially by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of its creator Carlo Collodi. You will see this exhibition at the Raja Tun Uda Library.
