The Greater Kuala Lumpur

Cultural Tour

Batu Caves

One of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks, Batu Caves is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site set within a limestone hill estimated to be over 400 million years old. Visitors climb 272 colourful steps to reach cave temples, admire the towering golden statue of Lord Murugan, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of this important cultural and religious destination.

Central Market Kuala Lumpur (Merdeka Square)

Established in 1888, Central Market is a heritage landmark and vibrant cultural hub showcasing Malaysia’s arts and crafts. Housed in a beautifully restored Art Deco building, it offers handicrafts, batik, souvenirs, local delicacies, and cultural performances, making it an ideal place to discover Malaysia’s diverse traditions and creative heritage.

Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex

The Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex celebrates Malaysia’s rich artisanal traditions through exhibitions, demonstrations, and workshops. Visitors can observe skilled craftspeople producing batik, weaving, woodcarving, and metalwork, browse galleries featuring contemporary and traditional creations, and purchase authentic handcrafted products that reflect the country’s cultural diversity.

River of Life & Merdeka Square

The River of Life is an award-winning urban revitalisation project that transformed the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers into a scenic waterfront promenade. Adjacent to historic Merdeka Square, where Malaysia declared independence in 1957, the area offers striking colonial architecture, evening light displays, and picturesque walking opportunities.

Putrajaya

Putrajaya, Malaysia’s federal administrative capital, is renowned for its grand boulevards, landscaped parks, and impressive modern architecture. Visitors can admire landmarks such as the pink-domed Putra Mosque, the Prime Minister’s Office, and elegant bridges, or enjoy a leisurely cruise on Putrajaya Lake while experiencing the city’s harmonious blend of nature and design.
